Boye began his career with Schwepps, later played with Pro Consult Sports Academy and Miracle FC.
Than moved to Stade Rennais on 29 July 2008 after a two-week trial,[1] he came also on loan to the club on 1 September 2008 from Heart of Lions with an option to buy[2] and turned back on 30 June 2009 to Heart of Lions.
The defender has long been a target for Rennes, but a move to sign him two weeks ago broke down when it was claimed that he had already signed a deal with the Israeli club, Hapoel Petach Tikva.
That matter has now been wrapped up, allowing Rennes to complete the move before Monday night's (local time) deadline, he signed than on 10 July 2009 a contract and was sold from Stade Rennais F.C. by his former club Heart of Lions.[3]
On 17 June 2008 he was called up for the Ghana Black Stars, his debut was on 22 June 2008 against Gabon.[4]
